“This is hard for me, too.” No. You are a liar. This is not “hard” for you. This is “uncomfortable” for you. This is “inconvenient” for you. What would be hard for you would be to go back to that “ethics” committee and tell them that THEY ARE WRONG, that their refusal to give an infant a transplant will KILL HER and there is NO DEFENSIBLE REASON for that refusal. What would be hard for you to do would be to FIGHT FOR THIS CHILD’S LIFE LIKE YOU’RE A GODDAMN DOCTOR, and not a close-minded, money-grubbing, bottom-line, self-righteous asshole who is willing to LET A CHILD DIE.
Please pass this around, get those signatures, and let that doctor know that turning this child down for the transplant that will save her life is simply not appropriate. “First, do no harm” - you’re doing harm. You’re killing someone.
Let the girl have her motherfucking kidney.
